At New-Casinos.nz we want to be open about how our content is made. We use artificial intelligence (AI) as a tool in our editorial process – but every text is worked through, fact-checked and edited by a person before it is published. This page explains how that works.
How we use AI
We use the AI tool Claude (developed by Anthropic) to make parts of our work more efficient, for example gathering research, structuring an article and producing a first draft. AI helps us work faster and cover topics thoroughly.
AI is always an aid, though – never the final word. No text is published in the state it leaves the AI tool.
Our human editing
After the draft stage, an editor takes over. This is where the most important part of the work happens. Among other things, we:
- Fact-check details against reliable primary sources, such as the Department of Internal Affairs, New Zealand legislation, the public registers of gambling regulators and operators’ own terms and conditions.
- Correct and remove information that is wrong, out of date or misleading.
- Work on the language so the text is clear, accurate and easy to read – including for beginners.
- Add context that an AI tool cannot supply on its own, such as how a rule or a bonus term works in practice for a reader in New Zealand.
- Make sure the content is original and not copied from other websites.
The aim is that you as a reader always get content that is accurate, useful and written for people – not for search engines.
Why we are open about it
We believe in transparency. Telling you how our texts are produced is a matter of trust: you should be able to rely on the information you read here and know how it came about.
We also follow Google’s guidance on helpful, reliable content. According to that guidance, what matters is that content is accurate and made to help people, whether or not AI was involved in producing it. That is the principle we work by.
Fact-checking and responsibility
Everything we publish is covered by editorial responsibility. An editor reviews the material, and we update our pages when the facts change – for example licensing rules, operator details, bonus terms or payment options. Gambling rules in New Zealand have changed considerably with the Online Casino Gambling Act 2026, so we pay particular attention to keeping legal and regulatory information current.
If you would like to know more about who we are, you will find it on our About us page.
Our content is information – not gambling advice
Please bear in mind that our texts are informative and descriptive. They are not an invitation to gamble and they are not gambling advice. Our content is intended for adults aged 18 and over. You can read more on our responsible gambling page.
Found an error?
